8 years and billions upon billions later and guess what? "The government failed to connect the dots?"

My question to you, was all the money worth it? Was all the additional hassle of removing your shoes, coats, etc. ? What about 3-1-1? Patriot act?

TSA: who told you that you had a right to free speech?

TSA special agents served subpoenas to travel bloggers Steve Frischling and Chris Elliott, demanding that they reveal who leaked the security directive to them...Frischling said he met with two TSA special agents Tuesday night at his Connecticut home for about three hours and again on Wednesday morning when he was forced to hand over his lap top computer. Frischling said the agents threatened to interfere with his contract to write a blog for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines if he didn't cooperate and provide the name of the person who leaked the memo.

Should we trust TSA with Radiation & Our lives?

If you can't trust the people at Cedars-Sinai to properly operate a radiation producing machine...can you really trust TSA?

At one of the most famous hospitals in Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, 206 patients were exposed to 8 times the normal dose of radiation...

As a result of the higher dosing, patients were exposed to as many as 4 grays of radiation to the head, instead of the expected 0.5 grays.

No danger on Sunday flight — just an ill passenger

This is security & safety?

Armed officers on Sunday rushed aboard the same Detroit-bound flight that was attacked on Christmas Day....a businessman who was sick and posed no security threat....the perceived threat wasn't much of a danger — just an ill traveler who spent too much time in the bathroom.

2 detained for watching "The Kingdom"

"Two men thought to have been acting suspicious aboard a flight bound for Phoenix were detained and questioned by federal anti-terrorism authorities before they were released, the FBI said Sunday."

Virtual Strip Search?

Hello, and welcome to the TSA Watch Blog! This is my very first blog post. While I am not much of a writer, I hope that you overlook my spelling, grammar, punctuation, and many other faults and find this blog to be informative, though provoking, and that it will increase discussion about a very important issue: The delicate balance between SAFETY and LIBERTY; we CAN have both.

There has been much discussion about the new "Virtual Strip Search" machines. TSA recently rolled them out at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. These machines are capable of seeing through all of your clothing including undergarments.

Even the ultra liberal European Union Parliament has denounced this technology as a "serious impact on the fundamental rights of citizens." Of course the ever powerful TSA has decided that anyone who doesn't want to be subjected to a virtual strip search may instead be frisked. Really? In the United States of America, a citizen can be forced to either be subjected to a "Virtual Strip Search" or be forced to be "Frisked" in order to board a passenger flight on a commercial airline? Is this what our fore fathers fought and died for?
